These rules are subject to change so check them regularly.
Commitment
We run at least one progress raid every week and schedule other raids depending on availability, requests and other factors. Raiding members of the guild are expected to sign up to at least 2 evenings of raiding per week unless they have notified an Officer beforehand. Ideally, those 2 evenings will be the progress raids. Non raid members may sign up to any raids they wish to but should be aware that raid members will generally be picked over them if there are no spaces available.
Signups
When signing up to a raid, you MUST make a note of your MAIN spec in the note field. The Raid Leader will need to know which spec you are in order that the raid can be planned properly. Even if the raid appears to be full, or your role in the raid has been filled, you should still sign up. People often drop out of raids or we may rotate you in to balance the group. If you sign up, you should be online and available before the raid starts even if you believe you will not be raiding. DKP will be rewarded to those players who do this. If you remove your signup then you MUST make a note giving your reason.
Start Time
Start times are ALWAYS based on server time. We have people in different time zones in the guild so we run by the server time.
Start time means the actual start time. You need to be online for invite 30 minutes (or so) before the raid begins so you can get repairs, pots, mats, respecs, items from your bank or whatever it is you might need to do. We need you to be inside the instance and ready for the first pull *BEFORE* the start time.
It's important good time keeping is maintained. Not everybody is in the same position and some people need to leave earlier than others for various reasons so we must start on time in order that we don't over run at the end. We always aim to finish raids no later than 12:00am (Midnight server time) but ideally well before. Of course, occasionally, we may run a little later than that but only when absolutely necessary.
Anybody turning up to a raid late, even a few minutes, may incur a DKP penalty.
If you cannot (or think you cannot) be there for the whole raid then please say so in your signup note and expect to be considered a reserve for the raid rather than having a guaranteed spot. We'll fit you in if we can but obviously, those players able to make the whole raid will be given priority. Dropping out halfway through without warning if we don't have replacements is just wasting everybody's time and will incur a DKP penalty.
Preparation
You must to come to raids prepared. Preparation includes making sure you have made repairs, ensuring you have off-spec gear with you, ensuring you have a good supply of consumables and aren't relying on other players for food buffs or flasks. It also means you have researched the bosses of the instance you are running.
There are links to videos, boss guides and dungeon walkthroughs in various places on this site including a link to bosskillers.com from the homepage. There are NO EXCUSES for not having prepared yourself - anybody who obviously hasn't and causes delays whilst explanations are necessary will likely be overlooked for future raids until we are happy they've done some research.
This may seem a little harsh but again, it's other people's time that you'll be wasting if you come unprepared so it's not too much to ask.
Raid Loot
From Ulduar and onwards, we use a dkp system for prioritising loot. Details on the system we use are available on the forum. For all raids prior to Ulduar, we use a master Looter system with rolls deciding who wins.
Priority for both systems is :
Guild Mains > Alts & Socials & Pugs > Off spec > Alt off spec > Disenchant.
Generally for progress raids, it is expected that players will be raiding with their Main Character on it's Main Spec.
Guild members' should identify their main characters and spec in the relevant post on the forums. Those that do not will be considered to be rolling for Alt Off Spec.
Looting is to be done ONLY by the Raid Leader.
If there are dead players then no looting will occur until everyone has been rezzed.
Ventrilo Voice chat
We use Ventrilo for communication in raids. You must have it installed and operational when raiding with us. Nobody should feel obliged to talk on Vent (in fact, during a raid unless you have been asked a question, you are the tank, or you are the raid leader you shouldn't need to say much at all) but everybody is obliged to listen.
Also, there should be NO bad language and no shouting/singing/generally being annoying.
Raid chat
Should be kept to a minimum and absolutely so whilst loot distribution is taking place. Excessive chat can smother raid instructions or questions which in turn can cause wipes.
Required Addons
When raiding, you should have the following addons installed :
Deadly Boss Mods
Omen
If you can resurrect dead players we ask that you install some kind of addon that tells you who is currently being ressed. We recommend SmartRes.
Damage Meters
Posting damage meters into raid chat is considered spamming in this guild so DO NOT post these in Raid, Party or Guild chat. There are those that don't want to see them and we shall respect that. If you want to see damage meters, get an addon (We recommend RECOUNT). If you can't get an addon then ask for a report to be whispered to you and the Raid Leader will arrange that.
PUG's
A list of which raids we are happy for members to PUG is kept on the forums. If you are invited to a raid one of the non-pug instances with another group you are expected to check with a Guild Leader or Officer before going even if we have no runs of that instance booked before the next reset. There's every chance it won't be a problem for you to go but we need to know so potential plans and ad-hoc decisions to run an instance can be properly made. It's not much to just quickly ask before you go.
Anybody not adhering to these rules will be subject to removal of dkp.
Repeatedly ignoring the rules will eventually result in more stricter measures such as being unable to sign up to raids etc.
